How was the weekend?  Busyish here. 

Friday we went to the church Christmas party.  It was awesome- crafts, games, prizes, Santa, carols, stories.  We were there almost 2 hrs and didn't get to everything.  We did snag the worst Santa photo in history though.

Saturday DH took a couple kids and went Christmas shopping at the mall.  I took Max to Christmas shop at the liquor store.  Then we baked and decorated cookies.

Sunday was general crap- church, haircuts, grocery, dropping stuff at Toys for Tots.  6let was about in tears donating a spiderman watch.  Little does he know he's getting one too.

This week is BUSY- Max turns ONE.  I have a haircut tonight.  Doctor appts, preschool parties, ILs coming Friday night, leaving town Saturday to go to ILs.  FIL went completely overboard on gifts and we need to rearrange carseats to bring it home.

    Very busy weekend here. 

    Friday-the kiddo went ice skating with friends.  DH got home super late.  DefConn and I did hung out.  
    Saturday-I worked, DH took the kids to my nephew's bday party at Sky Zone and then my sister kept the kids over night.  We went to my work Christmas party, which was so.much.fun.  I spent most of the evening with my work BFF that lives in VA now and I haven't seen in person in about 2 years.  

    Sunday-Slept in.  Went to my parent's for December bdays and cookie baking.  So.many.cookies.  :) 

    Of course, it snowed buckets all weekend and slowed everything down.  The kiddo has a 2 hour delay today. It's supposed to be 50 by Thursday... *smh*

    MIL and FIL were supposed to get the kids on Friday but they were having sewer problems so they waited a day and got them on Saturday morning.

    Saturday I made the sweaters for our party Saturday night.  We also got a little shopping done before the party.  The party was alright.  There weren't many people there and it was just a little boring.

    Yesterday we got our taco pizza and wrapped presents.  Then we did some more shopping.  All we have left to buy for is FIL and one of my grandmas, but I at least know what we're getting her.  We cannot think of anything for FIL.

    Friday I have a short day at work so DH picked me up and we ran some errands.  That evening we went to the Trace Adkins Christmas Show.  It was excellent!  It had a celtic feel and I wasn't sure how that would work but it did.  Lily Costner (Kevin's daughter) was part of the show.  She has a beautiful voice. 

    Saturday, my mom & I went to make lefsa at church.  And Saturday night I did a more Christmas Shopping.

    Yesterday was church and the kids program there.  DH went to work and Mom & I went to my nephew's program in the evening.

    This week I need to finish shopping and make some Christmas goodies.  I'm running out of time!

    I love the portal tree, juch.

    Friday we went to a new local restaurant that is a fully locally sourced restaurant.  It was OMG good.  I didn't even flinch at our bill when I got it, b/c it was so good.  We had candied pork belly, these amazing brussel sprouts, divine smoked trout, duck confit that was AMAZING (I refrained, barely, from gnawing the bones), a burnt beet salad where I nearly licked the plate, this relish stuff that I have to look up how to make and a few other things that were just flat out amazing.  He is supposed to be making duck prosciutto this week.  I'm glad it's on the other side of town or it'd be my kryptonite.

    We got home super late from that.  I held down the couch on Saturday b/c that's what I wanted to do.  Yesterday, bunches of grocery shopping, getting ready for the chili fundraiser on Thursday.  I'm making 2 chilis, baked cornbread last night (I took the easy way out and did Jiffy) and a few other things for it.  Have to go out and cut the willows tonight to do centerpieces.

    I'm getting hostile that the last thing I ordered for Secret Satan hasn'ta rrived.  URG.  I have everything else, this is just making me stabby.
    (It's shipped, it's just not HERE)

    I did cookies. cleaning, church, and staying home, refusing to go out in the snow--that's the weekend in a nutshell.

    Family Christmas #1 on Saturday where I purposely messed up a step-uncles (IL) name to "Blob" instead of "Rob".  If you don't know my name after 10 years...you're dead to me (not really, just annoying is all), plus he was all kinds of drunk and blithery.

    Sunday was lowkey, had dinner with H out with family, got to randomly look at christmas wish list items.

    I also got my SS gifts on Saturday and have to reveal, and will do so later today on FB. 

    Still have one more gift to buy for my SS, I suck...whatevs.

    Ugh, I need to get my gift packed up and mailed out.

    Our weekend was good, ended up being busier then I anticipated, but it was fun.

    I need to clean today. That was the one thing we didn't get done this weekend. I have laundry to be washed, laundry to be folded, and the baby was helping yesterday by spreading the clean laundry all over the living room while I slept. Daddy was happy she was happy, so there you go.
