My H is finishing up his phd program applications and we'll know by march where he gets in and where we'll be moving to. His top three choices right now are Tucson, Az , Lawrence, Ks and Rochester, Ny. I have been trying to get as much info about these places as possible so that we can make the most educated choice when the decisions from schools start rolling in. We cant exactly afford to visit every place unless they offer to fly him out to talk to him (we are keeping our fingers crossed that this will happen, at least to the schools he is most interested in) and even if that does happen it would just be him going. So if you currently live or have ever lived in these areas, tell me about them. What you like, didnt like, what there is to do there, cost of living, whatever you can think of. The more the better.
