Thank You Cards a Week before... Wait or Send Now?

Did a little searching and didn't easily find an answer to this specific question, but apologies if it has been answered fairly recently... We are a week away from our wedding, and we are getting gifts (including checks w/out cards from family members), should we send cards now or wait to send them after the wedding(within 2-3 days). Some folks are traveling and would likely not get the cards until after. We've already sent a handful for gifts that had come in, but not since the 10 day mark... I see pros and cons to doing them now and for waiting... What do you think.

If you have the time I would write and send the thank you cards now. Even if the gift giver doesn't get the card until later, it will still be less to do after the wedding.

I agree with audubonbride. Send them now, and they will get it when they get home. The more you do now, the less you'll have to do after the wedding.

I also think that when gifts are sent, it is best to send out thank you cards sooner than later so that the gift giver knows his gift arrived.

I think at this point, it's a wash. You're doing really well at sending them, so if you're sure you'll do them a couple days after the wedding, people won't care about 10 days or two weeks. Sure, if you have time to do them now, great... if not, sounds like you're diligent about getting them done right after. I would be inclined to wait so I could say how great it was seeing them, etc.
