Affordable Officiant for Secular Ceremony

Hi Knotties,

I'm in search of an affordable officiant for our November 2014 secular ceremony. I budgeted too low originally and am now trying to find someone to officiate for under $175, which is the cheapest I've found so far through a DJ company we're considering.

I've seen someone posting on Craigslist Houston as an officiant that will do secular and religious ceremonies for only $100. You might try searching there.

My cousin got an officiant for her wedding via Craigslist. It did not go well. He was late and seemed to be inexperienced.

Stay away from Craig's List vendors. If they can't afford the small fee for an ad on The Knot website than they most likely won't do the best job at your wedding. Try to look for more credible businesses.
