I am wanting to have my wedding on November 1st in the Birmingham area, but a couple people are concerned that it might be too cold. The average low for that time of year is 48 degrees. I am wanting to have the ceremony around sunset. Any ideas?

Some people might think it's too cold. You also have to factor in wind if it's going to be a sunset since that might be a windy time.
If you and your fiance are set on having it at that time then I would say to suggest (via word of mouth when the subject comes up) that guests bring a light jacket or hoodie just in case.
I also would not have a very long ceremony if you think the cold / weather might be an issue.
