Any other brides for May 23,2015

I was engaged in 11/22/13. Not getting married til 5/23/15. Long term engagement. What are y'all's thoughts on that. And anyone else here getting married that same day or close to it?

    Congrats!  Too long for me, but I was in my mid-30s when I got married last year.  My DH and I were long done with school, had no debt, were financially stable and had no reason to wait.

    I am planning on an August or September wedding in 2015.  We haven't booked our venue yet but plan on doing it this month.

    I don't think that's a long engagement at all. We also put about 18 months between engagement & wedding. We just didn't see any reason to rush it. We had originally talked about waiting 2-3 years. And we dated for 4 years before getting engaged too, which many people think is a long time. But we already live together and are practically married already anyway. Everyone has their own timeframe that feels right for them. But, I'm now 6 months out from mine and time seems to fly by. I can't imagine having less time to plan & prepare. But congratulations!

    We had 18 months between engagement and wedding. I loved the length of it, but I have pretty much everything done and still 6 months to go, so it's a bit of sit and wait kind of game. Though, my invites do go out at the end of March :)

    We are planning for 5/16/15. I got engaged on 12/1 and we both wanted a spring wedding. Spring 2014 was too soon so 2015 it is.

    I got engaged in December 2013 and not getting married til May 2015 as well! I'm shooting for May 9th, hopefully. I think everyone's perception of what's too long is their own opinion and if that's how long you want to wait, then go for it. The only thing that matters is what you and your fiance want =)

    We got engaged a few days before you and are planning a late June 2015 wedding.  I wanted warm weather and a 6 month engagement was not an appealing option to me.
