which wedding dress??

ok, I wanted to have a dress custom made but budget wouldn't allow it. so I found 2 that I just absolutely love and feel soooo amazing in, but i'm so torn between the 2! The one with embroidery is amazing, it's whisper pink and the bottom is to die for! but I don't like the top at all or the ribbon (the ribbon would be an easy fix), and the train isn't as long as I wanted. the other dress with the ruffles is gorgeous! I love the fun bottom and longer train, and the top is perfection! I wanted to see if there's a way to add embroidery to some of the ruffles, to get the best of both worlds but i'm still not sure. help!

Re: which wedding dress??

  • Both are beautiful and really unique! I personally love the ruffle dress.. the detail at the top is gorgeous and I feel like it would be super flattering. But at the end of the day, you're the one who is wearing it so go with what your gut tells you. Good luck! :)

Personally, I prefer the first dress because it is prettier and does a heck of a lot more for your figure.  What is it you don't like about the top of it?  Perhaps it could be slightly altered and paired with a different belt.

  • LOOOOVE the first one. I really don't like the second one but that's just because I don't like the ruffle/layer on top of layer look.

    The first one is gorgeous!!

  • I love the first one. It is gorgeous and unique, and I think it fits you better. The second one makes you look bottom heavy when you aren't.
  • The way you describe them makes it sound like you love the 2nd one.  Go for the one you get more excited about!
  • The first one is so much more flattering! I love the unique details on the classic shape! You look beautiful.

  • I prefer the first dress (with the pink detail). It's softer, elegant, and more flattering, and I think much more classic.
  • I know you said you don't like the top of the first dress, but I actually much prefer it than the second. The first is so unique, if you love it, I would go for that for the wow factor.
  • It sounds obvious to me that you made up your mind already. You're gushing about the second one while there are parts of the first you "don't like...at all." Personally, I'd never consider a dress if I didn't love every part of it.

My personal opinion? The first wins by 3809790 miles.

  • If I'm perfectly honest, neither of them really does it for me. Could totally be a style preference thing--I don't really go for the big poufy dresses. They both look fine on you, though. Do you love both of them or do you want something neither of them quite has, but you could almost see it? Has this thread reaffirmed what you previously thought or has it confused you further? Is one of them a better deal (i.e. cheaper) than the other? You could always keep looking.
  • I like the first.  Not a big fan of the ruffles:)

  • Feel out your gut---as you read the input from others....are you bummed they prefer one over the other?? If you preferred 2 and hear all kinds of props for 1, and it kinda makes you sad-go for the one that makes you smile. It's the dress that you feel comfortable in. One you won't pull or tug at during your day. Please post which one you go with, I'm curious :) honesty, I think you LOVE the second one but love the embroidery of the first one.
