Hotels in Branford

Hi ladies,
I was wondering if any of you had any advice regarding accommodations in the Branford area.  I am getting married at Bill Miller's Castle but I'm from Mystic/Groton so I am really not very familiar with the area.
Any help would be appreciated!  Thanks in advance!

    I'm getting married at bill millers castle on feb. 1st and we are using the holiday inn express. I haven't stayed there yet, but they gave us a rate of 99$ a night, have free breakfast, and our letting us use a private room for our after party. I can let you know how it goes after our wedding if you would like!

    there are two hotels nearby the freeway close to bill millers castle. One is a Hampton inn.

    I'm also getting married at Bill Miller's Castle (Oct 2014)  How did you get the $99 rate for Holiday Inn Express?  Right now it's showing up as being $130 a night on hotels.com.  Is that the discount they give for booking a block of rooms?
