Outdoor photo locations near Itasca?

Hi ladies,
We're getting married at the Westin Itasca and want to go somewhere relatively nearby for outdoor pics.  Originally planned Botanical Gardens but the permit is a little pricey!

Anyone have a recommendation?  Been to Lilacia Park in Lombard and had a good/bad experience?  What about the Schaumburg city hall?

I appreciate the help! :)

My sister took pitcures at the park by Irving Park Rd and Bloomingdale.  There is a Gazebo and a nice pond there.  Even a pair of swans! Her pictures came out really nice and there was plenty of variety.

We were just at the Westin for our wedding on Friday. Have you walked the grounds in the back of the hotel? They have a bridge, swans, fountains...lots of photo ops!

I'm curious why you would want to go elsewhere...

A photographer that we met with suggested downtown Itasca or one of the parks in Itasca as photo locations.

i took my engaement pics in three outdoor locations not too far from the weston (btw-my wedding is there july 01, 2011) we went to alexian field (where the schaumburg flyers play) there were bautiful trees and flowers there.  we also went to the a park in schaumburg (on schaumburg road) where they have a pond with paddle boats and a beautiful gardens. lastly we went to a park in bartlett (on main street and north) there is a gazeebo there. all of them are no more than 15 minutes from the westin and none charges to take pic (that i know of...unless you want to go into the ballpark)
  • Hi, I am planning to have my wedding and reception at the Westin next year. I have heard that it is possible to negotiate with hotels with regards to the venue cost, did you have any experience with this while you were booking the venue? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! :)
