Day of Timing?

I'm trying to figure out my schedule for the day.  I can do hair and make up and start pictures whatever time I want, but I want to get it all scheduled soon.  So, I guess I'm just trying to figure out how long we need for pictures since we have to be done by the ceremony.  We are doing all our pictures in and around the Mirage.  How long did everyone take pictures for?

be done by 4:30 Hair and Make Up

4:30 - 5 PM Get in the dress

5 - 6 PM First look and couple pictures

6 - 7 PM Family pictures

7PM - Ceremony seating begins

7:30PM - Ceremony begins

Thanks and Happy New Year!!!
We had our dream wedding at Mirage on May 3, 2014!

Re: Day of Timing?

  • I think you'll have more than enough time allowing two hours for the photos; especially if you're not venturing too far from where you need to be.  We did an hour of photos after our ceremony while the guests were at cocktail hour and were able to get all the shots we wanted around Mandalay before heading back.

  • I think you should have enough time, but I do think you should consult with your photographer to see if he/she agrees. Every photographer is a little different in terms of how many different types of shots/angles they like to take, how careful they are with arranging everybody who is in the picture etc. If you let your photographer know what pictures you want that will help you get a good idea for timing as well.
