Diving, partying, all-inclusive honeymoon...does it exist?

Hi everyone!
I have never posted anything on here before but I am at my limit!  My fiance and I are trying to decide where to go for our HM and are torn in several different directions. We definitely need an all-inclusive (I dont want to think about money after we get there and really dont care about the food, I have to be in a bathing suit everyday, its fine if the food isn't that great )We both love diving and would like to do some diving while away but are also looking for a decent party atmosphere, possibly an island where we would be safe renting a car and doing some site seeing, outdoor activities or partying on our own.  We would also like to do maybe 10 days-2 weeks.  All that said, I'm most drawn to Sandals St. Lucia (Grande I think) but am worried the nightlife will be boring but love that all diving is included.  I'm also drawn to Mexico, mostly Playa del Carmen and Cozumel (I'd love to do a week in both)  I know the nightlife would be great, the diving is great but I've heard the all-inclusives are so-so.  My mom is a great travel planner (not as a profession, more of a passion) and has also thrown out Aruba and Antigulla.  I know this is supposed to be fun but I am super overwhelmed and would appreciate any, all advice or reviews on any of these places or really any other place that sounds like what we're looking for.  Thank you all in advance!!

  • Playa del Carmen and the surrounding area is home to some of the best all inclusives in the world. Not to mention they are usually an awesome value. Also, not sure if you meant Antigua or Anguilla. I'm assuming Antigua. I think you'll find more of what you want in Mexico. While I'm sure your mom is a great planner, if she hasn't been to any of the destinations, it may be worth talking to a professional travel agent so you can have someone who can offer personal experience and client feedback to ensure you are planning the right trip for your needs and budget.

  • Sandals is the only chain I know that includes diving in their AI price, the rest I looked into were additional cost, which runs the same as most dive shops (about $100 plus equip rental for a 2-tank boat dive).  If you plan to do a lot of diving, it might be worth it to find the best Sandals location that meets your nightlife requirements.  If you are only planning one or two dives, it might be better to focus on the best location for nightlife and then find any AI there and then use a local dive shop.

  • I can't comment on diving, since I haven't been in open water, but Live Aqua in Cancun was a fantastic AI, and seemed to have a good nightlife too.  They had a nice bar with huge patio that had loud music every night (though we never made it past about 11, cos we're old).  It was the best AI I've been to so far
