Has anyone else noticed?

I have seen tons of complaints about the engagement/wedding pics with random furniture in a field or useless umbrellas; in fact I've complained myself, but has anyone else noticed this trend may have come from the Friends intro? Maybe it's the wine/muscle relaxer combo, but my night of reruns makes me think I found the source!

    I think you're on to something.......
    I also think the name Emma is now popular because of that show. I was born in the 80's and never once met someone with that name. I remember being a senior in high school when Rachel gave birth on the show because we had like a girl party to watch it...and every single one of us in the room said "Emma??? Ewwww, what a stupid name!!" 
    Cut to 10 years later and I know 12 people in the last 4 years who used that name and it's the #1 baby name in my state.

    Holy crap....you might be right! I always wondered where it might have come from and Friends was very popular, so I wouldn't be surprised.

    It might of started out as like friend group shots or even the bridal party and now it's transgressed into B&G pics and engagement photos now.

    I'm thinking it comes from pops of color, rule of thirds and pleasing lines, not Friends…but that could be from my years of photog training and course work :-p Silly me applying principles of photographer to real life ;)

    Apparently they can be thanked for not enough seating as well. Just watched the episode when Ross married Emily and his dad complained how can you serve steak and not give people somewhere to sit how was he supposed to eat?

    Emma was my grandma's name and now my cousins (b/c of my grandma) so I never would have made that connection
