I just put my foot in my mouth and I need to vent.
I have four best friends that I asked to be my bridesmaids very soon after getting engaged. We had discussed it and I decided that I would add one more bridesmaid that was a very good friend of mine. She is down to earth and super fun and I had gotten to know her my last semester in college. Right after graduating I moved to a new city and for one reason or another we didn't talk as much. We kept up through text every now and then, but, recently she has come into some great opportunities which is fantastic for her, but very braggy on social media sites that I have tried to stay off of so that I can avoid, not just her posts, but everyone else's that seem to be straight bragging.
I have a group text with my four best friends, one for my bridesmaids, and another for another group of girls that this bridesmaid happens to be on as well. A member of the third text group began asking questions and cue bragging so I felt like I could not escape it. I typed a short rant and accidentally sent it to the bridesmaids group instead of the group with my four bffs. She simply replied, "Ouch." I quickly texted her personally to tell her how I was proud of her for everything, but I had to get out how I felt about the bragging. So far no response, but I just couldn't take it anymore. I guess everything happens for a reason and it's out there now. I feel horrible for the way it happened, but I can't take it back. Thanks for listening.
