NER: Everyone have a good weekend?

Besides getting blackout drunk and making my Saturday completely useless, I managed to get a bunch of stuff done on Sunday.

I'm in charge of my condo association and we needed a new mailbox.  The new one didn't fit and now our old one is taped on with duct tape.  Im laffin at the ridiculousness of it, but so frustrated at the situation as well.  

Also, this is my dog "playing" with a stuffed animal that looks like my old dog.  Hilarious.

    Can I be a party pooper and ask why we are clogging up the E board with stuff that could happily live on the chit chat board? :) 
    Not calling anyone out, but I keep clicking on threads and not getting what I expected.

    That's what the chit chat page is for :) most people visit both pages.
    The community has different pages to focus on different things. If you want to talk about what color shoes you should get with your wedding dress it is best posted on the Attire board. Or how to make your own origami centerpieces - ask not he DIY page.

    If you are going to post chit chat at perhaps put NER - so everyone knows its not etiquette related, since that's the focus of the board. :)

    I had an awesome weekend. FI sent me to get my nails done Friday while he was at work and took me out for a surprise date night after! Saturday was pretty mellow and we watched Overboard which is one of my favorite 80's movies. Yesterday I made my grocery list clipped coupons and then did a huge grocery run with FI.

    Why would I want to wander around boards?  It's much easier to just keep hitting refresh on this board.

    I should have posted my request in juice cleanse thread, that one I was expecting something different. This one I just posted my thought bc it was the 3rd off E thread I open this morning.

    I'm not trying to be a jerk, honest. But I think we should use the pages as intended as much as possible. I go to CC page and enjoy the NWR conversation and getting to know the rest of the community. 

    I think keeping the pages on topic helps lurkers and newbies too.

    WOW! HBIC, nice jumping to the name calling. You might want to review the TOS before calling me names. That was completely unnecessary. 

    Why would you wander around the boards? Most people do. Try it sometime, it's nice. You might learn something or be able to help some with a question or offer insight to a conversation.

    But the juice cleanse thread was probably the closest to a wedding thread that I have posted yet.  

    And don't you get sick of all the same posts over and over.  The Etiquette Board has always been fun because of the NER posts.  Just sayin.  Or at least it was before everyone left.

    All I know is I think they left because there were lots of issues with the board and then they changed it to the TB format and they didn't like it.  

    They went to proboards, but they didn't like randoms lurking, so they locked it down.

    Thunderdome is locked down; treehouse is not. Exoduses happened because of fucked up bullshit and people being screwed around and screwed over. And there's nothing wrong with starting non etiquette or non wedding posts on this board.

    My weekend could not get anymore uneventful if I tried.   That wasn't a bad thing though.   Christmas week we drove from Indy - NY and back in 4 days.   A week later  too a last minute fight to Fort Lauderdale to meet my sister, niece and nephew and go to the Orange Bowl.   Add in DH going away on business, the ton of snow, polar vortex, craziness at work.  Well I needed a do nothing weekend.






    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    Busy holiday, Lynda! Glad you got some down time!

    It was crazy.  We didn't even decide on going to NY until a week before Christmas.  Orange Bowl was decided 4 days out.  I was even away twice in Nov (1 with DH, one without)  Dh was also away in Nov and Dec (neither time with me). It was nice to have no plans for a change.   






    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    I was really sick this weekend. I took the night-time cough medicine every 8 hours and tried to sleep it off. I had weird dreams. My foot is swollen from rolling my ankle pretty bad last week. All black and blue today with swelling around the ankle and on the top of my foot. It is gross since I can move the swelling around on the top of my foot. I'm supposed to have soccer today, but not sure I can run. And I have jury duty tomorrow.
