Has anyone had a shower canceled on their behalf because no one RSVP / declined the invitation?

    Not a bridal shower but in the past, my host and I decided to cancel my baby shower because no one RSVP'd. I don't know if that makes a difference.

    Did the invite say regrets only? If I were the host of your shower I would start calling guests to get their rsvp.

    Yeah - you and your host need to get your feelers out to see what happened. Is it just a date no one else can do? Was the wording specific on the invites? Did you invite enough of a list of people? Talk to people - I very highly doubt it's because your friends and family just don't want to come to your shower!

    I got a curtesy invitation for my scrap book. It says RSVP to xxx-xxx-xxxx Aunt Z. The invitation also has the date, time of day, location address. We invited 17-21 people. 5 RSVP yes that I knew of. ( Me, Mob, Aunt Z, Mog, and Aunt Y. )

    I had the wrong address for one. Which made me fell some what dumb and relived. (It got corrected.)

    Don't cancel the shower-- it sounds like at least some guests can make it!  The host should start calling and asking those they didn't hear from.  Maybe some people thought it was regrets only, or maybe the date is inconvenient and can be moved.

    So sorry this happened to you.  I would be upset, too.

    We rescheduled for Feb. Apparently we just picked a bad Saturday for most.

    It will make for a good story to tell ( when I have kids.)
