Who? What? When? Where?

Hi fellow Knotties-

Saw this post on another local board and thought it would be great to post here. It seems like it would give other brides some ideas that maybe they hadn't thought of or point them in a starting direction (like me). TIA for participating!

Everyone, post the four "Ws" of your wedding . . . who? what? when? where? You can include how many guests (who), ceremony and/or reception location (what/where), wedding vendors (more who), and your overall budget?

CasaBlanca on Brushy Creek (ceremony and reception, includes DJ)
    Exquisite Cuisine
    Central Market Floral Dept.
    Simon Lee Bakery
Daniel Groves (I think, his name escapes me at the moment)- photographer
    Alexia Gavela- dress
Rev. Joe Calovic (first mtg this week)
    Specs

95 invited guests, including children. 75 are out of state.

Budget is our business, but I will say that we are paying for every penny ourselves and have it in cash now. I am actually pretty proud of that, and the fact that we probably won't spend it all.

    Cute idea!

    When: May 29, 2010

Where: Star Hill Ranch- Outdoor ceremony (fingers crossed) and indoor/outdoor reception

Who: 140 guests, including children. We invited a bit over 200 but with it being Memorial Day weekend and a popular graduation weekend, a large part of our 90% OOT guest list can't make it! We didn't think about this when we picked the date, but when we picked the date over a year ago we thought the groom would be deployed until about April and wanted a month back home to get situated before the wedding.  Oh how things change with the military... he was home in late November (NOT complaining about that though)! For future brides, it's something to consider when picking a date- think about what time of year it is and what that means for your guests (the ones you really want to be there at least).

Budget: While we are thrilled for our big day and do want it to be special, it is just one day. We started with a budget of $10K and have shopped around to really get good deals on things. After a few splurge items, we are at $13K.

    When: September 5th, 2010

    Where: Stephen F Austin Hotel

Who: We have 96 guest invited abut are only planning on about 60 people at the wedding. No kids are invited because it is a night time black tie wedding.
Budget: ~$16,000 we found that although we are able to save a lot of money on facility fees and food having a small guest list we still have to pay the same as everyone else for all the other vendors. I am very hopeful that we will only end up spending about $12 on the wedding, including rehearsal dinner.
    Vendors:
Venue - SFA Hotel. I know a lot of people in Austin don't do hotel weddings but if you are looking for a hotel, they have been amazing to work with. Everything has been really easy to do and they have been willing to go far above and beyond my needs. I am doing all food, tables chairs linens and all of that through them.
Photographer - Carli from InkedFingers, one word, WONDERFUL!
    Officiant - Sam Riccobene
Flowers - Bouquets of Austin, she is great to work with and saved me a bunch of money. I even am getting my isle runner for free!
Rings - Tacori (Baily, Banks and Biddle; they closed and totally ripped us off), Bend Bridge for wedding bands.
Dress - Serendipity bridal, Mariana is amazing to work with.
Veil - Unbridled. I got my veil for $43 on sale! Love them!
Shoes - DSW, nina peep toes
    Tux - Men's Warehouse
Bridesmaids dresses - Jcrew. Super easy to work with and prices were same as bridal stores.
Ceremony Music - Musical Discovery Chamber Players
    DJ - Gobo Entertainment
    Cake - Michelle's Patisserie
Honeymoon - Puerto Vallarta Mexico, Palace Resorts

    When: Friday, 12-17-10

Where: Ceremony is at a church, reception is at the Hilton downtown

Who: 190 invited, probably 150 coming, no children except for FI's niece and nephews.

What: A traditional ceremony followed by a Christmas themed reception (but not in a tacky way).

Budget: I'm with Sarah on this one. We are also paying for it ourselves, in cash and not spending all of it.

Vendors: Thomas Campbell photography, more than likely Alfred Angelo for a dress (even though I swore I wasn't going to go that route), don't have a baker yet, Byrne Rock for our DJ, don't have a veil yet, don't have a florist yet, and the Paper Place for our paper products.

Where: St. Austin's Catholic Church for Ceremony, Stephen F. Austin for Reception.  Both have been awesome to work with, St. Austin's is very accomodating considering we aren't members any more (moved to SA) and the Stephen F. Austin has been very easy to work with so far.

Who: We are at 160 right now, mostly family and close friends, maybe a handful of children.

    Dress: Signature Bridal

    Veil: Using my sister's

    Rings: Tiffany & Co.

Flowers/decorations: My aunt is a florist so I'm lucking out on this one...

Catering, linens, etc: Stephen F. Austin

    Photographer: Now and Then Photography

Videographer: Possibly Graymask?  I don't know yet...

DJ: Meeting with a couple this weekend...

I still need to find jewelry, but will probably use some from my sister and mother.
