Heard of it? Done it? I signed up last month and am slated to get my first box in a couple of weeks. As someone who lacks all vision when it comes to fashion, I'm kind of excited to see what I get. Curious if anyone else has signed up for a "fix".

  • I haven't done it but I know a couple people who have and they really like it.

Thanks, @mmm4763! Good to know. I figured it's worth a shot as you can cancel after the first box if it looks like a bust. Really hoping it's good stuff, though!

  • I've never even heard of it -- what is it?

its a service where you fill out a quiz and they send you a few different pieces of clothing. you try them on and then send back the ones you don't want and keep the ones you like

  • @HisGirlFriday13 - it's kind of like BirchBox, but for clothes & accessories. You fill out a long ass fashion profile online, pay a $20 monthly "stylist fee", and then get a box with 5 clothing items to try on at home. If you decide you like anything, then the 20 bucks goes toward the price of the item(s) and if you don't, then you return it all with prepaid shipping. It sounds awesome, and all the "reviews" I find online are good, but I've just never personally known anyone who's done it so guess I'll have to wait until the 25th to judge for myself.

  • Oh. That sounds....kind of cool. I have a friend who's done "Rent the Runway" a lot, and she likes it.

Since most days I wear trainers and jeans to work, it would probably be lost on me, but I can see the appeal.

    But....uhm...what's BirchBox?

  • Same kind of concept, except for products (makeup, shampoo, etc.). I have a friend who describes her husband as  "product whore" and he's obsessed with it. Makes me giggle.

same thing but for beauty products and such, skin care, nail polish etc.

  • UPDATE…
Got my first "fix" today. What came in the box:

    - jeans (hated. Fit great - which is rare b/c I'm tall, but lots of embroidery and bedazzling on the pockets, which is so NOT my style); returned
    - chevron tank top thingy (loved. Great colors, fit, material, and like that it can be dressed up or down); keep
    - cardigan thingy (meh. Too bulky for my taste as I prefer more fitted outer wear); returned
    - dolman top (loved. Big fan of the strips and loved the fit); keep
    - dolman sleeve slub knit top (meh. It was just okay. Kind of felt like a bat in it); returned

…so, keep 2 of 5 items for a total price of 68 bucks. I consider that a win and will definitely do it again as it was super convenient and kind of fun.
