March 2014 Brides

Any March 2014 brides out there?  We are getting married on March 17th at the Flamingo.  We are having a casual lunch after at Hash House a Go Go.  Would love to hear other March bride's plans!

  • March 1st at the Chapel in the Clouds, then eating there. Then a double decker bus ride to the Vegas sign and Fremont Street, after that not sure what we will do.

49 days away, stress (making sure everything is done) and excitement setting in.

  • March 22 at World Market Center for ceremony and reception. I'm not local per se, but I'm in LA, so I think my guest list is bigger than usual for these boards.
  • March 26! Ceremony at Aria's chapel and reception at bacchanal buffet! :)
Our wedding day also marks our 11th anniversary of being together :)

  • That's me! Getting married by the Luv Bug, location undecided at this time though. Will be staying at The Rio for a week with a final night at Aria courtesy of MyVegas! Can't wait. Worried about getting my big puffy dress there though as I probably can't take it on the plane.
  • ninjawombat how big is your guest list?  I am coming from Minnesota and we already have 84 yes responses.  Not sure how that happened!  Kind of freaking out!!!
  • How many people are coming to have cake? I was wondering how many people can fit in the suite. Mgm is saying I can't bring in a cake.
  • HELP! I'm getting married March 1st and my 20 person wedding had turned into a 50 person wedding! Can I have cake in the suite? How can I transport 50 ppl? Thinking of landry's... My reception budget is 1500. HELP!!!
  • We were aiming for 175, but it looks like we might end up at around 200. The venue has tons of space, so I'm not too worried, but yeah, I am kind of surprised at how many RSVPs we got too.

As for transport, the DDB holds 75 as I recall, so 50 shouldn't be a problem as long as they're not booked.
  • ejbahn  i can't wait to find out how your experience goes with Luv Bug.  We are using them for our 4/29/14 wedding and I don't know yet either where we'll have our ceremony.  We are staying at the Wynn and I'm really hoping we can just wander to a quiet corner on the grounds outside and say our vows.  Our wedding is on a weds at 7:30pm and I can't imagine vegas will be too crazy busy... we got our room SUPER cheap and I assume that's because there's nothing big going on in town then.
Also, I'm playing MyVegas too!  Unfortunately I won't have enough points for a room but I'm working on getting a free bellagio buffet meal for one of us!
  • @claybornet Oh, you're in a tight spot. Most of the hotels require a $2500 minimum catering spend. You could consider having the reception outside of the hotel. You might want to try the Bootlegger Bistro's Copa Room. Just on the south end of Las Vegas Blvd, but not in a hotel.

Oh, my recommendation for an external cake vendor: Retro Bakery. That's where I'm getting mine, even if I'm taking it up to Southern Utah for the ceremony/reception.

    Good luck!
