Wedding Woes

This Friday is the best Friday

Because I don't have to work the next two days.  My 'give-a-fuck' is totes broken.

What's up for the weekend?

Tonight: No clue.  Probably going out for dinner.
Tomorrow: DH wants to paint.  I want to not paint.  We'll see who wins.
Sunday: No idea.

Hoping to get some clothes shopping done this weekend.  I also need to book a hotel for next weekend.  And get a hair appt scheduled for next week.

Re: This Friday is the best Friday

  • Can we switch places? Please? I wish I didn't have anything to do this weekend. :o( I'm off today and have a long to-do list for the wedding that I need to start tackling.

I need a drink.  Is it too early to have a glass of wine?

Need 8 adults to make minimum.  Eek.
  • Tomorrow my parents are coming up for DD1's basketball game and we'll all go out for lunch.

Tomorrow night the kids are staying with the ILs so DH and I can go to a trivia night.

Sunday we have no plans beyond getting groceries.
  • And I just ordered a new purse.  YAY for today.

Now maybe, just maybe...I should get some work done.

  • This week has been a New Year's win.  I resolved to do better for myself.  I had a girl's day Sunday, Bunco Wed, I've worked out 4 days, and I've been looking good (for me).  Today I'm even sporting my new $3 necklace.

Tomorrow we are shopping for counters and hitting a farmer's market.  Sunday is probably more kitchen crap.  I'm unreasonably bummed DH has to work Monday.  He was supposed to be off, but contractors are working so he is too.

  • I need to get some business stuff done for monthly meetings.

Other than that, sitting back and breathing for a bit. I've got this group organized for at least the next two months, so I can start to make future plans, instead of running around to make plans at the last minute.
  • Tonight we are meeting my parents and my mom's best friend for dinner. Wish me luck- we are going during DD's cluster feed and I've not yet nursed in public before. Tomorrow will be chores. Sunday is relaxing day. I have Monday off, though DH has to work. So it's me and the kids, and I think we are going to my mom's house.
  • My Friday mornings need to stop being such shitshows.  I ended up having to drive to work because I overslept and couldn't make even the late train.  It'll probably take 2 hours to get home :(

Tonight: probably going to be early bed early.

Tomorrow: errands then friends over for dinner and Cards Against Humanities.  I feel bad for my cats, they're bringing over their 3 and 5 year old.  (Cats hopefully learned their lesson last time they came over)

Sunday: 1st birthday party for a friend's son.

@PMeg819 Do you have a nursing cover?  I only use mine in public if he's too distracted by what's going on.  Otherwise, I don't care and I'm pretty discreet anyway.  I don't know about AZ but it's illegal in IL to tell someone they can't BF in public.

  • I do have a nursing cover. I'm not terribly worried about other people- I more feel weird about doing it front of my parents.

  • Really?  It doesn't bother me at all.

    Same here.
  • My parents are pretty conservative about that stuff. ::shrug:: it is what it is.

Today is password change day at work, but I can keep my current passwords for the rest of the business day, so whenever my computer asks me if I want to change my password, I'm like: http://youtu.be/mJXYMDu6dpY

We have nothing planned this weekend. I really wanna go get tasty pancakes at this place in town called the Pfunky Griddle which is like hibachi for breakfast foods, so I may drag husband tomorrow. I also have to go to my parents' house at ass o'clock on Sunday morning because my dad wants me to drive around the car to practice stick on the road. We'll get to see just how good I am at stalling a car, yay!

  • That reminds me, I've got to get the new Archer in queue.  I knew what they were doing for the new season, so I'm really curious about this season.

  • We don't have cable, so we hadn't experienced Archer until this past week, but now we've binge-watched the first three seasons on Netflix and feel an intense emptiness where more episodes should be.

  • This has been a good week for everyone! I enrolled in school today, for esthetics. I'm very excited. I have to shop for some extra pants to wear for class, workout, and dye my roots tonight (Because you can't be in cosmetology school with bad hair, right?). Saturday I am free to relax, and Sunday is football day!
  • Today is birthday party prep. Corn bread is made, frosting is almost all made. Red beans are cooking and Mac and cheese prep is next. Then delicious cupcakes and smash cake. In between everything picking up and floor cleaning because danged dogs and cats won't vacuum after themselves.

Then tomorrow, up and reheating, baking, assembling and party! My brother will be taking the night shift of prep starting the pulled pork to smoke at about 11 tonight, brisket in a little after. I am so glad the in laws get in tonight, they can handle baby breakfast duty. Maybe I can sleep I a little.

Sunday is nothing. I don't plan on church. Only sleep and football.
  • Update: At 1p, my computer told me to sit and spin, and when I restarted it, it forced me to change my password. Womp womp.

  • @thejucheidea If you guys really hate spoilers, I'd avoid most mentions of Season 5 then.  There's some big things that happen in season 4 that are coming to a head.

Mark it all: DANGER ZONE!  ;)
  • @thejucheidea, if you're in Archer voice withdrawal, watch Bob's Burgers if you can- same voice actor.

We're having our very late Christmas with FI's family this weekend (waited for FBIL and FSIL to have time off from working night shift at the hospital 4 hours away). I've a fasting blood draw tomorrow morning (boo) and a back specific massage tomorrow (yay! Love FI and his Christmas gift card!)

Wedding stuff is of course still going on. Have cleaning to do and kitty cuddles to give. The dryer either has a problem with the circuit breaker or the heating coil died, so I get to go to a laundromat (the closest ones for 3 miles are all pretty sketchy).

Meeting with a friend for lunch Monday, and hoping to relax otherwise.

Had an awesome meeting with venue coordinator yesterday- getting excited!!

  • And Bob's Burgers is HILARIOUS.

Also, you'll understand the season opener for season 4 and it's more funny.
  • I've heard good things about Bob's Burgers also. Husband and I were more stoked about the overlap with Arrested Development and Venture Bros when it comes to voice actors.

Yeah, we've been watching too much Archer.
