  Hi!  Try the Curvy Bride in Manalapan.  My friend visited recently and had a great experience.  Also nearby are two other salons, Castle Couture and True Love Bridal.  I am not sure of their plus size selection but if you are going to drive a long way to get to Manalapan, you could visit a second salon to make it worth the trip.  Good luck, here is their website:

  I went to East West Bridals in Secaucus and had a great experience. They have a good selection of plus-sized gowns (Bonny, Mori Lee, and a few others) and their prices are within your budget. I went in with a similar budget, and ended up spending well under it on my gown. I also tried on a sample that was on sale for $450, but it just wasn't my style.

  I would dfiently try The Curvy bride in Manalpan. I went there and had the best experience! Ask for Michele, she is the owner They are so helpful and make yo feel very welcomed. They have a large selection of wedding dresses.

  Thanks ladies, The Curvy Bride is a bit far but if it is that wonderful I guess it is well worth the trip. Any other suggestions?

  My daughter and I just went to Curvy Bride it was a ride for us too but we got her gown.  Definitely get Michele,

  Park Ave Bridals in Verona.   It was nice to find a place where they had a decent selection of samples that actually fit!

  I went to the curvy bride this weekend to get a dress for my mom and Michelle was extremely helpful and accommodating and I noticed that their gown selection was great. Very modern and varied, I would totally go there if I were plus size. I'd recommend getting an appointment though- they only have 2 fitting rooms, so we were crowded in the back hallway.

  I went to The Curvy Bride in Manalapan last night and they are AMAZING!  I can not say enough good stuff about their dress selection or the consultant Paige.  I ended up purchasing the first gown I tried on.  Huge selection, great prices and totally friendly.

  I would highly recommend going there if they are within driving distance.
