  Alteration costs are hard to estimate when you don't know what you'd really like done. But yeah, if you want major restructuring, that can often cost you a pretty penny.

  
  

  Why not take it to a reputable seamstress or two in your area and see what they tell you? If their quotes sound too high, you can make your decision from there.
