Help needed! June 2014

Hi

I have been reviewing this site for ages and am a little closer to final plans..

We are getting married Monday 23rd June 2014 at the Wynn AT 4.30PM. We have 10 guests.

Here are my plans so far, for brides and brides to be do the times seem right and any help suggestions would be amazing!!

Wedding at 4.30pm

I am then thinking of hiring a limo(5.30) for photos with party at the Vegas sign and the Bellagio fountains with an external photographer(I have an hour with my wedding package for the Wynn)

I need to look into which photographer to use for my limo trip, I will have champagne and soft drinks included in this

I imagine this will bring us to 7pm dinner time!( I will be letting my guests know to eat before the wedding)

This is where I am stuck, I want to have a private dining for our guests in a room which doesn't look like a small room.. So far I have looked at the glass room in the Eiffel tower, Maggianos, SW Steak House. Can anyone suggest a nice private dining with atmosphere maybe a view?

After diner I am looking at hiring a table in a club (once the parents go to bed!) We live in Australia but our guests will be coming from our home country UK, I have no idea about clubs and bottle service, please feel free to recommend and suggestions!

One last thing the Friday before our wedding is my Fiancées  40th Birthday, Any non wedding related ideas would be most welcome on how to celebrate.

Thank you guys, I know I am asking lots but I am feel totally overwhelmed!!

What about Canaletto, I wrote about it here - http://forums.theknot.com/discussion/1007446/what-else-to-think-about#latest The Il Moro room is very spacious, I think they state that it seats about 20 but we had it for our party of 11. It doesn't have a strip view but looks on to 'st marks' square in the Venetian which has a nice atmosphere so it didn't feel too quiet in the private room with a small number of guests, which was my main concern. The set up was 1 rectangular table. I also considered bouchon's point room. If I remember correctly this room has a $1200 minimum. In the end I went with Canaletto for the view onto the square plus the room didn't look cramped. I was really pleased, the food was great and no minimum spend was a bonus. The Aria also has some smaller private rooms that look lovely but no view that I'm aware of. http://www.aria.com/dining/groups-private-dining When I enquired I believe the minimums were around $1500. Mix at Mandalay Bay may have a small private room with a view, I wanted to stay mid strip so I didn't look into this but could be worth checking. You could also look into Scarpetta at the Cosmopolitan, there's a couple of reviews on yelp that mention a private room/ semi private with strip view http://www.yelp.co.uk/biz/scarpetta-las-vegas?start=40

I think a Double Decker Bus tour of Vegas would be a lot of fun for his 40th birthday. You're allowed to bring drinks on the bus, and you can get packages that include impersonators like Elvis and Rod Stewart - they'll serenade you during the trip. :)

As for the Wynn, one of our regulars (who I haven't seen in ages) had a lovely, small wedding and reception at the Wynn. I believe she had six or seven guests. I'll see if I can find her wedding website and/or some threads she posted.

Edit: She took her wedding website down, but you can search for her threads. Her original username was wiwicaty, and then she became sugarforever.
  • well as far as clubs go I know i contacted xs about bottle service and I was given a quote of 3500-4000 for 20 people. but since you only have half that # then I would think it would be between 1500-2000 for you. Also the double decker bus would be fun! you can even get a cabana at a day club.

Oh gosh, yes. This would be so much fun.
  • Guys, Thank you thank you thank you!

All day I have been turning into Bridezilla, I will look at your suggestions and let you know the outcome!!

I like the sound of looking over St Marks Square while in Vegas!

I just skyped my Dad and he thinks even a semi private space would be good? Has anyone booked a semi private? how semi is it?

I have also had a few emails with April from the Bellagio today and she has been so helpful! April suggested Hyde for a cocktail before the dinner.. Has anyone been??

Day club sounds fun for his 40th! I would like to take him to a Burlesque show also.. again any suggestions very welcome!

My eyes are aching!! Thank you!

  • Hi if you want to send me your email address by private message I can email you some of the info I collected on private rooms. I know Spago has a semi private room I'm not sure about others.
  • Will do thanks!
