I'll be sending out a 5x7 invitation with a guest info card, RSVP card and RSVP envelope. I've been looking into pocket cards to make everything pretty, but they increase the final price of invitations so much! How did you organize/send our your invitations? Any tips for inexpensive ways to make them look elegant when opened?

I just stuck them all in the envelope, in order of size (largest on the bottom, smallest on top).

i'm using pocket folds from cardsandpockets.com @ .69 each.

I am putting a lace band around my pocketfold and using a thin glue dot to secure it. I am using a monogram 2x2 square attached to cardtock mount to hide the seam, but even without it, if you put that part in the back its not too noticeable.

I just put them in the envelope with the invite on top, and the enclosure card behind with the RSVP card in there as well.

After plugging all the numbers, it ended up being a $50 difference between the pocket folds and belly bands. Since our invitation is so pretty with big, calligraphy names taking up the center of the card, I decided it would all look better if you saw the full invitation first vs covering it up with the RSVP card. We're going to spend the extra money on the pocket folds. I think it will be worth it.

We used pockets from cardsandpockets.com - they were $.80 each but GORGEOUS.. we used the "lagoon" color and it's even a little shimmery/pearlescent.
