Flowers to go with Aubergine/black color scheme

I am getting married in May and I have absolutely no idea what colors or type of flowers to pick. The girls dresses are aubergine with black accents, but I feel like any purple flowers I've seen are more blue-purple than the color we are going with.

What colors look good with aubergine? For some reason I'm just not excited about any flowers I've seen so far.

Have you talked to your florist or a florist? They usually have a lot of different ideas.

I would go with a contrasting color, maybe an orange or a yellow or even a lime green so that the flowers will pop-off the black and aubergine. A peach may even work as well.

I agree with @maggie0829 that I would not try to match the dresses but go with either a complimentary or contrasting color.
