and guest

If some of my cousins are not in a relationship, do I have to include an "and guest"?  Guest list is very tight already as it is.  Any input would be much appreciated.

Re: and guest

  • For truly single guests, you do not need to give them an 'and guest'.  Just address it to 'Mr. John Smith'.

  • You do not have to give a "and guest" to a truly single, not in a relationship guest.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • No, you don't.  Just address the invitation to them individually.  If they try to write in a date, call them and explain that the invitation was just for them.
  • Nope.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • No, you do not need to invite people not in relationships with dates.
  •  We gave everyone an option of 'and guest.' Definitely not something you have to do though! Especially if your guest list is tight! I'd say skip it!
