Venue help in NJ!

Hi all.

I recently got engaged and honestly have no clue where to start on venues in NJ. We're most likely getting married in a church on Staten Island (still up in the air though), so a venue in NJ semi-close to Staten Island is what we're looking for. We heard great things about Seasons and The Venetian is a big hit with Staten Islanders. Any other great venues out there we should check out? We're thinking 150-200 guests. Not sure about budget yet, but nothing too crazy. Not sure what other info you may need to help me out, but reply and I'll try to give more info.

Thanks!

  • Approximately how much are you looking to spend per person after tax? That'll help others guide you give you more appropriate suggestions.

You really need to firm up your budget.  Too crazy to you might not be too crazy for me.  Or vice versa.
  • A good place to look at is The Brownstone in Paterson N.J.
  • The Venetian is really expensive but I heard that Seasons is run by the same people, and is better for weddings of your size at a lower price. I might start with Seasons if I were you.
  • I'm getting married at Seasons in September and yes, it's owned by the same people who own The Venetian. My guest count is about the same as yours so let me know if you have any questions! :)
  • My family is from Staten Island too!  We are getting married at The Palace at Somerset Park.  It's absolutely beautiful and has two rooms.  One can accommodate up to 170 guests and the others has a much higher number (maybe 250).   Depending on your budget I would definitely check them out.
  • We are checking out Seasons this weekend. I heard great things, so hopefully we like it. Just went to a wedding at The Palace at Somerset. Absolutely gorgeous! We may end up checking that one out as well. Thanks for the tips!
  • Seasons downstairs room is beautiful! We are having our reception at Addison Park. My family from Staten Island recommended it! The owners; the Campitello family are the same  owners as the Exclusior Grand in Staten Island. Good Luck on your search!
