Squeeeeeee! My florist just tagged me in a blog post about my wedding and it got me all choked up!

My florist was absolutely incredible. I'm not really a "flower person" but she was probably my favorite vendor.

    @beanbot2002 - Yep! My cake was super fucked up when it arrived. They called me over to show me when we were done with our first-look pictures and I was like "I just saw my soon-to-be-husband for the first time today, there is nothing that could upset me right now. Yes, the cake looks awful but I I really don't want to be bothered with that right now or at all." So my florist took over and really saved the day and I'm so glad she was there to make it presentable :)

    So did your cake person stay around to apologize? Did they refund any money? Or was it just considered a known risk/possibility?

     

    ETA: I know unexpected things can happen during transport, I guess I just figure they would take major precautions to avoid it being totally fucked up and it makes me sad face that they didn't.

    @beanbot2002 -The cake was included in our package with our caterer. It was a separate bakery but it arrived with the caterer. I have had mostly negative things to say about the caterer and that was one of them. I can't believe they either didn't look at the cake when it arrived to them or didn't take the proper care when transporting it to the venue.
