It's only Thursday?

I wish it was Friday so badly. Today my car's in the shop because I've been leaking about 2/3s a tank of coolant a day. I think it may just be the hose running from the tank to everything else and crossing fingers that it is only that so it's not super expensive.

Friday FI and I are going shopping for new work clothes for him. Saturday is an afternoon shoot for him so I'm going to hang out with my second to be mom-in-law (his best friend's mom) and later we're going for a movie and dinner. Sunday we're off to his church which is going to shock his family and pastor and then I dunno what. All I'm hoping at the moment is that my car is ok.

What's up with you ladies today?

Not a whole lot for me. Work has been really stagnant this week. I have a lot of projects going on but I can't seem to get feedback or direction from the people I'm working with so it's been very hard trying to make progress. I'm working from home today and getting some laundry and general straightening up done. During my lunch I'm going to Total Wine (basically a wal-mart sized building full of super low priced wine, beer and liquor) to be my mom's Winebulance.

The Winebulance hasn't been to visit in awhile and she's in desperate need. So I'll go and pick out like 10 or 12 bottles of mixed red and white for her and she'll be all set for awhile. Tonight I'm supposed to meet up with an old coworker. We were originally going to get dinner but her plans changed so now we're just going to meet for an after dinner drink.

I need the Winebulance!

Today I'm going to be slammed at work. My boss just handed me this long list of projects I need to staff. After work I don't have anything planned really. I may go to walmart and get a mini coffee maker for my desk since the coffee at work is gross. This isn't helping my stay away from coffee for a little while kick but oh well. My boss also gave me her space heater! Love this thing!

I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to CrossFit or not. I would like to but I'm sore. We shall see how I feel around 6:00. It's leftovers for dinner tonight so I don't need to cook. I made oatmeal cookies last night so I want to nom on those and watch movies with H. Our internet is still being weird so we can't watch anything from our Google TV : (

I feel like the week is going pretty quickly, but I had off Monday, and worked from home tuesday because of the weather. I have to present on a pretty big conference call later this afternoon, so I'm ready for that. Tonight I get to go visit my wedding dress. I am so excited to see it!!! I hope I love it as much as I remember I did when I tried i on. Yea I'm ready for Friday though.

I'm tired. I did get BF's coat mended last night (2-inch tear, stitches 1/16" apart ... by hand, and we got the zipper pull put in without needing extra sewing). I swear though I'm going to be mending that coat again before the week is out if he's not more careful.

My exterior door key broke off in the lock last night. Now I owe management $5 for a new key. I can almost understand the dollar amount - I'm sure they have to charge a nominal amount basically as a deterrent - but paying with my credit card would have cost me $15 (not a typo) and they're the only people I've ever met who don't take cash. Ah well. I'll pay them tonight, they really wanted me gone when I couldn't pay instantly and it's not like they don't know where I sleep.

I've been writing all morning and I'm going to have to take a working lunch.

Okay, complaints over. Life is okay, just one-step-forward-two-steps-back.

I'm glad it's already Thursday! It's been a long week of adjusting to early mornings again...so i'm ready to get some extra sleep this weekend. I actually went to bed at 8:30 last night because I was so tired, so at least i'm feeling a bit rested.

We did manage to get about 3" of snow last night which i'm not thrilled about. The amount really is nothing here, but it is pretty dang icy out. I was pretty much the only person in the office for the 1st 2 hours...but at least i'll get to go home on time tonight!

I'm a tad frustrated because i've been really good on my diet this week, but I haven't lost any additional weight. I'm trying to stay positive...but I really wish a winebulance was coming to my door tonight. Oh well. Hopefully I'll see the scale budge before my weigh in on Saturday morning!

Usually I'm really happy that it's Thursday because I get to drive down to see BF. But not today

I need one of my professor's signature on my application for graduation that is due tomorrow. I was going to get it yesterday but he didn't come in so now I have to stay till Friday because that's the next time he will come in. I'm really annoyed that I have to stay a whole extra day to get this one signature!

I'm really disappointed in myself for pretty much throwing my diet out the window yesterday. So today I'm going to make sure to be good. I also need to make sure to go to the gym. I can run a mile now and I don't want to lose that!

True story - I wrote a check at the grocery store last night. I felt like an 85-year-old woman.

In my defense, it was because I left my debit card in my ski coat after Sunday, and I desperately needed to go grocery shopping (since BF & I put it off Monday AND Tuesday), and I knew that if I went home, there was no way I was going back outside. But I'm still ashamed.

I don't even know where my checks are. We use one credit card for everything and pay the balance off every month. I hardly carry cash anymore either.

Today is slow at work, which is a surprise since Fridays are busy and we work a day ahead.

I didn't sleep much last night since FI didn't sleep. His mom found out her breast cancer came back and she's going to have a masectomy and reconstruction (not at the same time) and he's a little nervous. I'm nervous too, but I'm trying to keep a positive attitude.

Tomorrow after work I try on wedding dresses again, but I think my mind is made up )))))

Thank god it's Thursday. I feel like I haven't stopped running all week.

C got sent home from work this morning because he was practically gagging from a coughing fit, and he was supposed to cover a route.. Thank god people realized he was in no shape for being that active. I finally combined him to make dra appt this afternoon.

His son had a wrestling meet last night so we went to that.

Our temp, who's last day is tomorrow, fucking called in today. Seriously??? You went home at noon on Monday, and you weren't that sick yesterday. You just don't want to be here. Ugh I hate that shit. But I'm being productive, so it's all good I guess. I've decided I'm a freaking rock star so fuck it lol.

This weekend is potentially packed... Cs son might have a wrestling tournament on Saturday. Depending on how C feels, we are supposed to go to a concert on Saturday night. We need to drop his car off to get fixed - stupid catalytic converter....
Then sundy he needs to go into the office and take a four hr driving course so his ticket points don't go against his license, and I'm doing birthday dinner with the grand units. My grandpas birthday is Saturday.

Then of course laundry, house cleaning and such.

Crap, I have to go get my taxes done tonight and at some point I need to go join the gym. I just haven't had time this week!!!

I can for be having nap time??

@IrishDreamer reminded me. How the heck do you people already have your tax forms?! lol, between FI and I we have ONE 1099. Which means we're still waiting on...3 W2s, at least 3 more 1099s, and probably some other random forms I'm not even thinking about. Point is, everyone else's employers are dang fast at sending these things out.

I just want my tax forms so I can do my taxes. Even though I will likely owe the feds and Virginia. Because Virginia is evil.

In other news, I've been doing laundry and working on our invitations today. Made the inserts and now we just have to go to my mom's, pick up the invites, and put them together and in the mail. We're not going to mom's till the weekend after this one though, so it'll be awhile. I am making these awesome wine totes for my bridesmaids though, so maybe I should go to Total Wine too!

But I have no idea if we have a total wine...(googling...) Why yes, we do!

@phira waaaaait, at your grad school, they let you stay home if you're sick? haha, actually in our lab, we sent people home if they were sick to not spread the love/germs. I did work in a micro lab after all. It was just hell to call in, so it was worth going in and being sent home.

We're still waiting on tax forms too. I'm waiting on 2 W2s and FI is waiting on his. I've received both of my 1098-E's and I think he has one of two. He's got whatever tax form you get for your home mortgage interest and it looks like another tax form type thing came in the mail today...probably FI's other student loan interest statement. I really really really just wanna file and get my return.

@Blue There's like ... NO ONE in our lab anymore. We've got a faculty member who works from home a lot because he lives in another state. We've got a post doc who works weird/sporadic hours because of her child's daycare schedule. We've got two super busy undergrads. My PI knows what I'm working on, and today was just going to be me making new buffers to use next week.

I also deal with chronic illness, and my PI knows that some days I'm just too wrecked to come in.

Just checked in with my mechanic. He noticed the anti-freeze on my car and hoses, but cleaned it off and hooked it up to a pressure tester. Can't find anything. Going to try and run it and see what's up. So far, no news. Grrr.

@Kait Could there be a crack in the reservoir for the fluid? It's unlikely....but you never know. I hit a deer once and had my car repaired but the shop missed the cracked reservoir for my coolant so one day I'm driving along the road and happen to notice my temperature gauge is through the roof. I pulled over immediately and then found the nearest store that sold coolant, refilled my car, and drove it home. My hoses were all clean and when my mechanic took a closer look at the tank he found the crack. Easy fix.

Normally I would be really excited about work, but today I had to perform a TQE (total quality experience) review for my store, which is boring and annoying. I know it's part of my training, but seriously, I would rather fix the things that need to be fixed than stand around and review them. I need to get used to delegating tasks out to people instead of just doing them myself. I need to read the next chapter for child development, but I'm so exhausted.
