Anyone have a MyGatsy coupon code???

I got a bit confused on a pricing issue...I love the invite and spent a good bit of time setting it up but it came out a bit high (essentially I thought one price was inclusive of the inserts but it was not) and I'm hoping to find a way to knock it down.  I didn't have good luck using my usual coupon hunting methods (which usually are effective and save me a good deal!).

  • If you had found one, please share the information, as I am in the same boat with mygatsby!

  • Darnit....I know I found one, but I don't have it recorded. I googledit and tried a code that was on a fairly old message someplace but it worked. FYI - I had a great experience with MyGatsby. I managed to leave out the time on the invites....blame a few personal stressors including physical problems and a military FI...and they were willing toreprint the written portion (there are several "pieces"...it is one of the folio invites and I didn't pay for assembly) and only charged shipping. Color me impressed (and grateful!)

  • Thanks for the ingo @clg1213. I really love the clean and beautiful designs of their invites! I will keep googling to see if I can find the coupon code, a discount here would definitely be sweet :)

Just another quick question for you, When you say that the invites comes in several pieces, does that mean you took the DIY option? If so, how much DIY (if this question makes sense) was actually entailled? I am looked at approximately 200 invites, and am trying to evaluate which of the options is most worth it!

  • And this time it eats a LONG post....which I cant replicate right now. Basically, assembly isn't hard, just takes time. I got good with a "dot runner" (a glue-type device often used by scrapbookers) and Zots (brand name, has individual dots of glue that I'd pick up by pressing my own ribbon to it and then adhering to the invite for some extra color). The box looks scary with so many "pieces" but I am not at all craft and mine have gone fine.

  • @clg1213 thanks for the input. I am not so crafty either so I was definitely skeptical about the DIY.  I am still going to make a few calculations, I am just so nervous about ruining one, but, you did give me a bit of hope! :-)

I def made sure we had enough invites that I could mess up a few times! If I can do it, I bet you can too. The glue runner really does make it easy...I wouldn't recommend using anything else (they include a note saying not to use regular glue). I played with it a few times before starting real assembly. I did go through a few refills and also purchased some extra bling (ribbon, flower cutouts...I have a plain blue "folder" and wanted a bit of spark) but it is still a LOT less than the assembly fee. However, there have def been points in my life when it would have made more sense to pay for the ease of having it all done! And I don't have anywhere near 200 to do...not sure if they change the fee based on amount of invites, but it would take a good bit of time to do that many yourself. I am VERY slow and got through about 10/hr overall (got better as I went...mostly just more confident) for the main assembly (all the pasting, just not putting the rsvp and accommodation cards in the folio pocket). P.S. Not specific to this company, but go buy postage for RSVPs now...it goes up in a few days an they have some cute forever stamps right now that have hearts on them (I am so not the type to seek such things out, I just got lucky and the postal employee pointed to the options)
