A bit overwhelmed....realize I need a planner

So I finally came to the realization that the planning journey is too much for me to handle on my own.  I need a wedding planner that is not only excellent at what they do but one that also understands my personality.

Suggestions are appreciated.  Help!

  • There are many planners in Houston.  They run a varied price range.  It will really depend on your budget as to who you should consider.

That being said, as for my suggestion, I recommend the fantastic planner I had:  Sally at Monarch Wedding & Event Planning.  Simply put, she's the best!

Good luck on your planning journey.
  • Teri Malpass of Pearl and Peony Event Design is my DOC. She does day-of coordination to full wedding planning. Even though I chose to do the planning, she's been great to bounce ideas off of and seems to know just what I'm saying even when I am having a hard time explaining my thoughts. She's super organized and responsive. I highly recommend her!

I've read great reviews about Sally too. Good luck!
  • Ditto, Sally is the best.  I used her as my day of coordinator but she was so much more than that.  Passionate about what she does and I was so lucky to have worked with her....my wedding was flawless.

    Hope all goes well...happy planning!
  • I loved Ashley at TwoBeWed. It was not in my budget (Day-of was 2k), but her style was awesome!

I've also had a friend that used Kat Creech of Kat Creech Events and the wedding was UHmazing. Her budget was like, 100k though so I couldn't tell you if her services were budget friendly.
  • I hired Teri of Pearl & Peony too, and she was amazing!!!! She was hands down the best money I spent on our wedding, and she really stood out among all of our amazing vendors. She was cheaper than Sally, so if you're on a tight budget you might want to reach out to her about pricing, although I got married in Nov. 2012 so I'm not sure if her prices have gone up.
  • I priced out several planners but ultimately anyone who was experienced was pricier.  In any case, I went with Sally at Monarch.  She was worth every penny.  There were a few others I had interest in but in the end Sally's reviews on The Knot & on Wedding Wire really steered me to her.  Once I met her, I was sold.

It's like most things in life, you get what you pay for.  I got a goldmine with Sally (and she worked with my budget).       http://www.monarch-planning.com/
