Groomswoman

My fiance and I are each having members of the opposite standing on our side.  I have a bridesman and he is having a groomswoman.  Should the groomswoman be wearing the same dress as the bridesmaids or something different?

    It's up to you (or you might ask her how she feels about it). I've only been to one wedding with a groomswoman and she wore a black dress. If you are doing matching BM dresses, it might be nice to have her get the same one in black. I don't know if there are any written "rules" for this.

    There are no clear rules for this. She can match the bridesmaids, where a similar dress, wear a completely different dress, wear a dress that compliments the groomsmen or, hell, wear the same thing as the groomsmen.

    Ask her what she wants to wear. Ours opted for a skirt suit to match my husband. She wears a lot of men's clothes in her daily life, so she also wanted to wear a tie.

    My FI's Best Woman will be wearing a suit to match the guys.  We asked her what she wanted to wear though and she opted for the suit.  I would have been fine with anything though - I even suggested a black cocktail dress, since that's what I suggested to my BMs and most women already have one but she wanted to rock a sexy suit.  But really, just ask your groomswoman what she'd like to wear.
