    I want to hate her, but I can't. Ever since a Food network "Chef"ography I've felt like she's worked hard to get where she is. I wouldn't make her food, but there have been a few drinks that look tasty.

    i enjoy her show even though i'd never want to make any of her food (that often looks like hot vomit). she is very fancy, and i am sure i won't ever look as good dumping a mixture of taco seasoning and cream of chicken soup into a crock pot. i like her more than RR and often wish she'd have better recipes.

     

    (unrelated - i love ann burrell's show, because she is an actual chef - even though she uses so.much.salt..)

    I want to like Ann Burrell, but it's like she tries too hard or something.  She just grates.  The only cooking shows I've seen lately are Pioneer Woman though.  She just happens to be on at a time I want some adult noise in my home.  I've never made a recipe.

    i'm not a fan of pioneer woman.

     

    yes, i agree about ann burrell. she isn't the most awesome, but her food always looks so good.

     

    brain games is coming back on (national geographic), so i get to add that to my adult TV time. i haven't been watching a lot of food network lately because it's all game shows.

    I love Ina Garten, her recipes are delicious, and some of them are just so easy, you just have to make sure you use quality ingredients.  I find that she uses wayyy too much salt and I cut the salt in half or omit it altogether if I find the dish has enough flavor.  I made her caesar salad last week, and making her Mexican Chicken Tortilla Soup this week with Jalapeno cheddar cornbread

    Muffin - check out Ina Garten's "Beatty's chocolate cake" on Foodnetwork.com.  All of my friends and family refer to it as "that chocolate cake" as in you ARE bringing that chocolate cake, right?  FYI - I cut the coffee in the frosting down to 1 tsp because 1 TBSP was way too overpowering.  Best chocolate frosting ever, I really don't need the cake to eat it.

    Sweet! I all ready have that recipe saved.  I just have to get around to making it.  I do have my grandma's recipe for "Perfect Chocolate Cake."  It's amazing, but it takes 6 hours to make.  Hoping for an easier chocolate cake to make.

    The only shows I ever catch on Food Network anymore are the Sandwich King and Pioneer Woman.  I like Pioneer Woman, but I can see why people don't like her.  It's clear she's not comfortable or something in front of the camera.  Her speech is awkward. Her from-scratch cinnamon roll recipe is awesome.  Everyone in my family (extended included) L-O-V-E-S them.  

    I will watch Ina and Giada on my days off.  Ina is always making dishes with stuff that does not interest me when I catch her show.

    Yeah, he is pretty douchey.  The kiddo likes watching him and if watching FN is going to get him interested in cooking, I'm definitely going to suffer through the douche.  LOL
