I just planted 11 set of seeds.

I'm starting an herb garden for FSIL (she expressed interest in having one, but doesn't have a green thumb, so I started it for her and I'll give it to her when the seeds are sturdier).

Her set has five herbs and mine has six -- I wanted to try an heirloom herb that's often finicky.

Dear Winter:

I am over you. We need to break-up. It's not me, it's you. You've overstayed your welcome and you brought too much baggage. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

So agree that winter needs to get its butt out the door, ASAP.

I have no luck when it comes to indoor plants, sadly. However, I'm eager for the snow to go and the ground to thaw so I can get back to my garden!

DH wishes I had less of a green thumb. With the 11 herbs I planted this morning, we're up to 23 house plants.

I tried with 2, and one developed spider mites inside of a week and nothing we did would eradicate them, and the other was always either too hot or too cold and just generally unhappy.

Ergo, I gave up on indoor plants, despite really wanting some.

I wish I could have plants too but I don't have any direct light coming into my windows. I've killed many plants due to that.
