DH and I were watching this week's episode of 'Castle' last night on On-Demand.
Beckett is trying on the wedding dress for the photo shoot and Castle calls with the possibility of the venue, but she doesn't say yes.
DH is like, 'She has cold feet.'
I said, 'No, I think she's sad about her mom.'
End of the episode, Beckett goes to Castle's apartment and admits she was sad, that she misses her mom, etc.
DH and I both are like, 'See, I was right!'
I said, 'How is that cold feet?'
He said, 'She got sad. That's cold feet.'
I said, 'Then by your crazy-ass definition, I got cold feet, too!'
He said, 'Really? When?'
I said, 'The first time I tried on my dress with my mother and my grandmother wasn't there and I missed her.'
He said, 'Oh. You said you didn't have cold feet.'
I said, 'That is because NORMAL PEOPLE define 'cold feet' as being feelings or thoughts that make you question getting married. I didn't have those, but I did have moments of sadness that one of my favourite people in the world wouldn't be there to witness my marriage to my best friend.'
DH said, 'Oh. That's a better working definition.'

I'm gonna go with 'not my circus, not my monkeys.'
