Hi All, ive been away for while, but back now! Who is the current picks for mak-up artists? When I was planning 12 months ago, I got prices from Harmony and Glam Squad i think. Are they still around and worth contacting?

Harmony is making up the ladies on FI's side - Im booked with LeiV Agency (Sin City Makeup artist Leila). I did a trial with her in September and loved it.

A few other options/positive reviews have come in about Beauty by Bri, Francesca Lombardo and Makeup in the 702.

Im paying $220 for hair and airbrush make up with Leiv Agency. Its definitely NOT cheap but I love their work and loved my trial.

The "cheapest" HMUA with positive reviews that ive seen on the board is Harmony and even she charges $150. One of the ladies actually bought a groupon for a strip salon and got their hair and make up done that way before the wedding. I would be anxious about a HMUA charging $85 with no contract.

I am using beauty by Brianne and she is $165 (last year) for the wedding and doing a trail the night of my stag for $99.

I booked Stevee Danielle.. $145 hair/makeup $160 hair/airbrush but there is a small decrease in price for 6+ girls.

What about the no contract thing - I've talked to Dollheads and Galmour Me Up and neither require a deposit of give a work order/contract. Is this normal for HMU?

@jayjaay I have to pay 50% 30 days before the date of services, that's as much of a "contract" they required. You do have to agree to their "terms and conditions" when you submit your appointment which discusses cancellations, etc.

I booked Stevee Danielle, it cost $50 extra to get her, as opposed to one of her employees but as I don't have the time/money for a trial, I think it's a good choice. She has been great at answering my emails quickly. Really looking forward to working with her.
