Cat People - product review

Arm & Hammer Clump and Seal  -  this stuff is worth its weight in gold!  I have the stinkiest cat in the world, we have taken him to the vet and tested for kidney problems and everything, its THAT bad.  I have to literally scoop the litter 4-5 times a day.  This stuff is crazy, I just realized I haven't cleaned it since Wed. morning and not one scent.  I sound like a commerical, but it is that good!

Re: Cat People - product review

  • We'll have to try it.  I like the Arm & Hammer Multi Cat anyway, so this is good to know.

Also, one of our cats is on special food and it makes his poop reek.  DH is pretty much the same way, cat goes poop, DH cleans box.  It's horrible. I joke it could be used as a weapon of mass destruction.
  • The Multi Cat is what I was using before, I promise you will love this stuff.  I know its stupid to be this happy over it, but I work from home so I'm always here and I have this super nose that smells it instantly, so this is wonderful, lol!

  • we use the crystals...super expensive, but they last and cover up pee smell exceptionally well.

we scoop the box a minimum of 5 times a day.  with the crystals you only really scoop out poop, but you have to jostle them around every so often or else the areas that the cats like to pee in the most get saturated and it doesn't work as well.  One of our cats won't go in the box if the other one has been in there and we haven't swished the litter around since.  Sometimes he won't even go in there if his own urine is untouched in there.  He actually peed on the floor this morning because he had just pooped in the box and we hadn't scooped it out yet.  Thankfully he only ever pees on the wood floor or in the shower, so it's relatively easy to clean up.  But it is gross.

When we have a house instead of our 1000 square foot condo, we will definitely just get multiple boxes to deal with this issue.  Our cats are extremely high maintenance.  Sigh.

  • I tried the crystals and they didn't work for him.  I have had cats all my life and I swear this one is the very worst!  I have a little over 2000 sq feet and when he uses the box I swear you can smell it in every one of them within minutes, lol.
  • I like the ultra better than the multi cat, but I've been eyeballing this...maybe we shall try it.
(we have 2 boxes in our little 1,100 square foot house, but only because we have a basement to put them in.
  • I will have to try this.  Right now, my cat uses Fresh Step extreme odor control (they used to have it in unscented).  My poor guy must be allergic to it, because it is making him itch so bad he is ripping his hair out.  (Thinking about ankle toupees).  It takes a long time to narrow down what might trigger pets allergies.  I am guessing the cat litter.  At first I thought it was his food.  Fatty wasn't very happy when I changed up his diet for no good reason. Lol
