Non-matching Bridesmaids and Groomsmen?

Help!

I'm planning a wedding for this October and thought I had decided on navy, blush, and champagne as our color scheme..
Then I went to Alfred Angelo with two of my bridesmaids to shop for their dresses and we found a one-shoulder dress they loved, but the store only had it in orange/persimmon (we figured we'd just order them in navy). A few days later, my groom and I went to look for tan suits for the guys and found one we loved. I put a pic of the BM dress and suit next to each other to compare styles...and realized that I adore the tan/navy/persimmon color combo (pic below). Changing our colors at this point isn't a problem, but I'm not sure I am brave enough to do non-matching BM's and groomsmen (BM's in persimmon dresses, GM's in tan suits with navy ties). I'm looking for input on the idea and on the color combo and would also really appreciate advice from anyone who did a non-matching bridal party.

Thank you!!

  • Wait - so the concern is blue ties and persimmon dresses? That will look totally fine. You're stressing over nothing. The ties don't have to match the dresses.

  • Looks great to me.  Nice colour choices for October. Go with it, it seems to me that you want to!
  • Look great! They don't have to be the same color at all. I'm doing gray dresses with gray suits and the ties and bouquets will be blue. You could do navy bouquets!

  • There is no rules that ANYONE has to match, except in the level of formality.  My bridesmaids were in two different colors.  No big deal.
