NWR: FI just discovered spanks

I was walking upstairs in front of FI when he got a little touchy feely under my skirt. The look of shock and confusion was priceless when he realized how high up my panties went. I ended up having to give a ten minute explanation on the benefits of spanks to him before the look went away.

I'm with you.......sorry but I hate how our country has the obesity epidemic yet makes 100 inventions that are like "you don't have to lose weight, just mask it!"

OP, not saying you need to lose any weight obviously I've never seen you but I just hate that our society is like don't fix the problem, cover it up. My best friend is severely overweight and her doctor tells her to buy this $500 machine for sleep apnea....I'm like wouldn't the proper diagnosis/ solution be telling her to lose some weight?! But no, no,the patient could get offended if he said that...

Well, sure, but a lot of people who wear Spanx are at a healthy weight but trying to conform to society's impossible standards. According to magazines I am a fatass at 104 pounds. So there's that.

I like wearing Spanx. I don't wear very ... confining ones (words are hard) -- mostly what I'm looking for is to even things out a little. Perhaps hide the tiny tummy I'm working on losing. Just make problem areas look good for a few hours.

When I did college equestrian team, we were required to wear spanx. No matter how skinny you are, everyone will have flab when they're sitting with gravity pushing down and chaps pushing up and wearing a tight stretchy shirt, it ain't a good look. It cleans up your profile.

I don't wear them much other than for that. I don't have real brand name Spanx so maybe they're better but I find whatever part isn't covered flares out. Like if I wear a swimsuit shaped one, my thighs go BLAM out.

I wear them under especially figure-hugging garments to produce clean lines and smooth things out. They're called foundation garments for a reason.

But they don't make me thinner, just smoother.

I wear them sometimes under work dresses because I'm paranoid about panty lines and I want that extra smoothing. I buy the Assets ones at Target-- they're basically shorts made out of a double layer of pantyhose, so I can still breathe and they don't suck me in too much. But damn if they aren't the ugliest things you'll ever look at.

I'm glad I read down far enough to see you say I don't need to lose weight lol! I have a handful of work dresses that need them to avoid me looking lumpy.

But I do agree with the problem. One of my friends is buying one of the $80 girdle type things that supposedly make you sweat off yummy fat because "I'll look skinny while I wear it and won't have to diet to lose the weight." This statement followed by asking if I want pizza or burgers for dinner!

I have such a love/hate relationship with Spanx. I love that they smooth out panty lines (I lack the thigh/butt crease, so if I'm not wearing a thong or boyshorts, there are lines), but I hate how warm they make me feel when wearing them. No biggie in the winter, but it sucks in the summer!

That's why I wear Spanx too. I don't think it's related to our obesity epidemic at all because Spanx don't make people look thinner, they just make you look smoother and decreases panty lines.

Wow. Props to you for keeping the secret for this long!

I used to wear Spanx under dresses/skirts for special events, then take them off in the bathroom and stash them in my purse before we got to the R-rated portion of the evening to keep him from finding out. That pretty much stopped when we started living together about 6 months in, though

Thanks it hasn't been too hard. We actually have lived together for most of our relationship, but luckily FI always goes straight to the office to check FB and smoke as soon as we get home so I had a few minutes to hide them until now.
