A little history first. My great grandmother isn't very sentimental and she hates most gifts people buy her. Unless you give her a framed picture of your kid (that makes it hard on those of us with no kids) or some word search books chances are she will give it away. It is just the way she is and she is 94 so that isn't likely to change. Lol. Anyway, I'm over at her house this morning to pick her up and drop her off at her friend's house and I see a little bucket of rocks sitting by her couch. So ask if she was going to get rid of the rocks. In a very indignant voice she said "no I'm not getting rid of those rocks!" It turns out that these were rocks that me and my 2 cousins collected and gave to her when we were like 6. So the pretty necklace I got her a few years ago went back to the store, but the rocks I picked off the driveway when I was little have a place of honor in her living room. Lol
