This app bases the age you should be married by off of the ages of your Facebook friends when they got married.  Well, looks like I have the wrong idea about marriage, I thought you got married when you found someone you loved enough to marry.  Turns out it's a race against your Facebook friends to see who can get the pretty ring first!  Silly me!

    Ugh...why?! Most of my FB friends got married very young. I definitely was not ready to or even thinking about getting married at that age (even though my SO and I have been together since my friends first started getting married). Marriage is not something you do because everyone else is.

    People on my FB have been taking this thing seriously, like it's an accurate account of when their friends got married. I have over 500 FB friends, and only 65 of them put enough information (birthdate, marital status, and anniversary date) to even calculate anything. On the plus side, I'm getting married right around the median age the app said my friends got married at. *eyeroll*

    I just did a major friend list purge, so I think the fact that I have <100 now is probably affecting it. However, my 10 married FB friends who have birthdays in their profile got married at a median age of 30.4. Soooooo I have just over 4 years of buffer room to make it to my wedding in 3 months haha
