Any Jamaica wedding/Honeymoon Brides out there?

Hi !

My fiancee and I are planning a destination wedding in Jamaica (eeeeeee!! *excited squeal*). We are looking at the Jewel at Dunn's River Falls to stay and hold the wedding at. Any other girls had a wedding there? or a honeymoon? I would love to see more wedding pics of the place (OTHER than the fake ones posted on the jewel website lol), and I would love to hear about your wedding or honeymoon experience there!

Besides the Jewel, any other brides had a wedding at ANY resort in Jamaica? I would love to hear about it and perhaps see a few pictures as well! We like the looks of the Jewel, but we're also trying to keep our options open.

    Lots of Jamaica brides here, me included!  Congratulations and welcome to the board!!  I am getting married at Sandals Negril and despite the pictures and youtube videos I've seen of real weddings (including pics of the resort from my TA's personal album) I still feel like I have NO idea how this resort looks or if the wedding they put together will be perfect for us, lol!

    Hope you stick around!  Are you planning to do any DIY projects for your wedding?

    Ooh DIY... I LOVE DIY stuff, I am making my own "barefoot sandals" but other than that, I'm not sure if you're allowed to bring your own decorations, etc. to a resort wedding. But if I could, I would probably end up forcing my bridesmaids to make decorations while on vacation lol!
    Are you DIYing anything for your wedding?

    For sure lots of resorts allow you to bring some DIY items to add!  My resort will charge a set up fee for anything I bring, so I am kind of leaning toward not doing DIY b/c I don't think its worth paying the fee for just two or three items :-/.

    My wedding is at Sandals, the WC told me the set up fee was $150...even for just laying a runner down the aisle!  I said forget it lol!
