  What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

  My upstairs neighbor has several cats, and he likes to leave the faucet on for them so they can "play" with the water. Which wouldn't bother us. Except that he's a weirdo hoarder guy who has the most clogged up plumbing ever and manages to flood our apartment once a year or so from leaving the faucet on.

  Everytime I see the commercials for them I can't help but think about how my cats would have it turned on all the time.

  If we had one, it would be constantly running… While the kitten seems to like water a little more than our other cat (in order to drink from the water bowl he STANDS in the water and splashes it before he licks it from his paws… he channels the cat we had to put down right before we got him), both cats are a little obsessed with running water.
