Uhh yea, I ended up having to hunt down tons of ppl!  Drove me crazy!  I just don't understand why it is so hard to send in a pre-addressed and pre-stamped envelope!  *sigh*  I would maybe give ppl until the end of the week and then start making phone calls.  GL!

I was the arse they sent out reminder emails and texts a week before the deadline and then for those who STILL didn't send theirs in a "Did the invite get lost in the mail" email the following day. Ha ha ha!

Scary! I am supposed to send mine out around Christmas! Lol. Since my wedding is on Valentines Day I am trying to decide if I should send them out around Thanksgiving instead. I don't want to hunt people down while I am in the middle of holidays. Good luck!

Yeah, they've stopped coming in for me. From Fiance's side only FOUR families have RSVP'd at all and two of those are his parents and the groomsmen.  Ridiculous.

Its kind of crazy when it basically  only takes 2 minutes to mark yes or no and pop it back in the prepaid envelope.

exactly- and its PREPAID! so all those that aren't mailed back are like throwing your money away, I know its less than 50 cents each but postage sure adds up!

ya, I totally agree w/ the sentiment about not being able to fill out a prestamped card, but what I found even more frustrating was the amount of ppl who couldn't write in their own name on the card or put a return address on there. I had 3 ppl that came back blank except a check! THERE'S A SPACE FOR YOUR NAME!!  I would have been so lost had I not numbered the back of the cards according to my excel sheet...it saved my life!

Alyssa- I was worried aobut the name thing too so we just wrote in the names for them. It took longer but it was worth it for me (and I didn't have a huge guest list)

I think I am going to number them . Then its just easier to find on my excel spread sheet like therock said. That way you don't have to search for the name you can just look for the number and be able to find it quick. I am not going to put a line for there name I think I am just going to say we have reserved 4 seats in your honor _ accept  _decline and see how it goes.

Molly, writing the name down is a great idea! I just got lazy lol!
  • edited December 2011
I guess I didn't really do it, my mom did the calligraphy on all the invites so she wrote their names. Since it wasn't me doing it, I was the definition of lazy haha

As frustrating as this is, I am the terrible bridesmaid who didn't rsvp to my best friends wedding. Though to be fair I have moved three times in three months did an internship and part time job and then started my new career and got engaged myself. While yes these are excuses, I hope it shows that your guests have busy lives and they probably don't mean to not send them, I surely didn't, I felt terrible that I hadn't sent it when she called me (though all she needed was which dinner I wanted since of course I was going).  Life just let it slip my mind.

Our deadline was the 2nd. I finally got the lat of my side (I spent most of the evnings this week making calls). One of his groomsmen hasn't replied, and we don't know if he's coming since he's out of state. FI's rather bummed as counts are due Tuesday and he already only has 5 yeses as it is :(
