Wedding Woes

That's a racket.

I just went online to look at the conversion rails to convert Baby A's crib to a full-sized bed.

Upwards of $200. Really? For 2 pieces of wood? And I called the store where we got the crib, and they informed me it would be a 10-16 week special order. Awesome.

Luckily, I found them for $179, free shipping and they can be here in 2-3 weeks.

Re: That's a racket.

  • it's absurd.
(we actually decided on the crib we did, in part, because the toddler rails were included.  And someone had warned me about the obnoxious money-grubbing ways of crib companies.  )
  • It's outrageous. Luckily, my in-laws offered to pay for them, as well as the full mattress.

I can't wait to get the bedroom situation straightened out.

  • It is a racket.  Since we had twin beds we just borrowed cribs and called it a day.  We'll need to buy something for Max though.

  • Seriously.  We don't have our conversion rails but at least we can take off the front to make a toddler bed for DD2 when we're ready.

After toddler beds, we'll just buy twins.
  • I think I have DH convinced to ditch DefConn's crib and get bunk beds when we're ready to put the house on the market.  We're going to make the kids bunk up together while we're trying to sell the house and then give the kiddo our bed and buy a new one for us when we move.  DefConn will keep the bunk beds.
  • Good Lord.  I'm hoping when it's our turn, H will just make something.
