Boudoir shoots?

Did anyone have a boudoir shoot done? Or do you plan to?

Our photographers package comes with engagement pics and a boudoir shoot. I'm certainly not model size and all of his 'examples' in the gallery are very thin. While I do hope to be thinner by the time comes around, I'm still worried that I'm going to look horrible. I can't pose in the ways that he has thinner people posing because I carry most of my weight in my mid-section and really don't want to accentuate that area.

How did yours turn out?

I am planning on having it done.

Remember your fiance loves you for you (size and all). Plus a good photographer will know how to pose you so that you look your best.

I did a boudior shoot, and it turned out great. You won't look horrible. Choose outfits that you feel sexy in and pick a photographer that you are comfortable with.

here are two of mine... It's on my photographer's website, so it's already public, so I figured I'd share it here. Hope it helps give you some comfort that you can be sexy and beautiful at any size.

I got it at Lane Bryant, but Torrid has some really nice pieces from time to time also. LB just happened to have that, and it was in one of my wedding colors.

I'm not having a shoot done, because my photographer's partner is his wife and they are both uncomfortable with boudoir shoots.

But if you've got one lined up, go in with confidence. Your future husband loves you for you, and will love whatever the finished product is.

I did 1 for our anniversary and it came out amazing!!!!! I was shocked how good my body looked just with proper positioning. I would highly recommend doing it. It helped me and my self confidence more then I ever imagined.

Try the website Hips and Curves. Amazing plus sized lingerie and where I got most of my stuff.

I never really considered it until a few weeks ago. I have a friend who is a photographer and I have decided to go ahead and give it a try in a couple of weeks. She said she has editing software to smooth out some of my bumps and lumps.
