Are you having your ceremony in a separate venue from the reception? If so how do you feel about getting in and out of the cold?

I'm having my ceremony at the same place as the reception. I don't want my guest or me to try to protect ourselves from the snow, slush, rain etc. I love my dress too much to ruin it lmao

I am thinking of having at a church, so then we would have to travel to the reception. I just finished this week looking at different venues and I am trying to decide. I am worried about the weather but also for people traveling. Some places I am looking at have accommodations on site but others don't. The ones that do are more expensive but I am worried about a snow storm. So I was curious what others were doing about accommodations for their guests. As for the dress, I think I will avoid anything with a train since I don't want it dragging in slush.
