Sister fell... heart is in my throat

My sister just slipped on some ice and fell on her stomach. She is 6 months pregnant. She didn't want to call the doctor, because it is a weekend. I told her she shouldn't be worried, but to call the doctor just so they can monitor her health. I really hope everything is okay. Really worried, even though I was staying calm for her. Didn't want to get her worked up, so I thought I should release my worries here.

She should definitely call the doctor and let him/her know what happened.

Babies have a lot of built in cushioning so the odds are good that the baby is okay. She should pay close attentinon to any aches/pains/cramping and try to monitor the baby's movement.

Eek! How scary! I don't know how she's holding back from calling the doctor, I'd be in the ER stat (which likely would be an overreaction, but I couldn't calm myself if I didn't)!

I would definitely go in, although she probably is fine. The little guys are a lot hardier than people think. There's a reason they're cushioned by all that fluid.

I agree with going to er stat. My sister fell and took a step to the stomach and they had her hooked up and monitored for 12 hours

She listened to me, her Fis a little irritated because he thought she should wait amd see, but her doctor told her to go to the er. I'd rather be safe and realize it was nothing, than overlooking a potentially serious medical issue. She would worry if she made the right choice for the next 4 months

Sister was just discharged from the hospital. Both my sister and the baby are doing well. Thanking God everything is okay. Thank you, ladies for your support and well wishes.

Glad she went to the ER. Baby has a lot of padding and are usually fine during a fall but it's always better to be safe then sorry. I was pushed and fell when I was 15 weeks along and couldn't even think straight because I was so worried.
