Well we are getting maried on our 4 year anniversary. So its part because it will be that much more special to our relationship and also we will bother be done with school and have jobs by then.
We want to get married in winter and doing it next winter is way too close to properly plan things. We also need time to save up money to pay for things.
My sister is getting married this August (and a cousin of mine in June) so to throw a third wedding into a 12 month period would probably lessen chances of my family attending my own.

Things to avoid during pregnancy: Eye contact with cats. Cats will suck the burgeoning life right out of you, using their infamous feline mind-powers. Avert your eyes, and move along.
FACT: 1 in 10 people are said to be a carrier of Listeria. Therefore you should avoid all shopping malls, grocery stores and busy street corners for the duration of your pregnancy. Or microwave anyone you contact until steaming, just to be safe.
I'm still in school, and even though he's finished & has been working for a few years, we're the one's that will be paying for it and need time to save.
Our reasons are two fold. 1.) We're paying for the wedding ourselves and therefore need the time to save u0p. 2.) Getting married will totally mess up my financial aid for school. Independent I will get out of school loan free. Married, I'd be 120K or so in debt. We've been together over 7 years now.. there's no reason to rush into a wedding.
Money money money. Also living in MN all you hear is ppl bitching about the winters and we wanted to embrace it. We love Mpls, its our home and always will be. So now we're planning a cozy winter wedding in Mpls. We almost went for a christmas wedding but decided that the costs of things are so high around the holidays it made more sense to wait.
Re: So, what are your reasons for planning so far in advance?
