Simply because I love Hayao Miyazaki's stuff...saw this come across my Facebook feed today.

Dress is awesome.  Epic win.

Confused at the Totoro/Spirited Away cross-over though.

    There are dust bunnies in Totoro that look a lot like the soot sprites in Spirited Away :)  That costly is almost as cool as this bed which I need to own at some point in my life:

    I'm not gonna lie; I LIKE Totoro, but *flinch*, it's not my favorite.  Which would explain my lack of knowledge about the dust sprites.  I've seen it a few times, but mostly when my son was younger.

    Spirited Away, Howl, Laputa, Kiki, Porco Rosso...LOVE those!!

    I've only watched Grave of the Fireflies once.  Because it made me cry.

    And Nausicaa's on my "to be watched" list.

    I'm also a Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli fan. There are susuwatari (soot sprites) in My Neighbor Totoro - definitely in the scene when they clean the bathroom, and I think the little sister chases one through the house as well? It's been a while since I watched it.

    I can't pick a favourite, but here's my top 3: Howl's Moving Castle, Kiki's Delivery Service, Whisper of the Heart.

    The more and more I thought about it, the more I realized my brain is swiss cheese, and there were little 'dust/soot' sprites.  I remember the littlest one chasing one down.

    Studio Ghibli -fail-. 

    Just out of curiosity; did anyone see Hayao's son's "Earthsea" movie?  Those books are favorites of mine, but EVERYTHING I've heard said it was so awful.  Which, after the disaster that was the SciFi (before they because SyFy or whatever silliness they are now) version, made my heart sad.
