Am I the only sort of bridal Grinch who isn't having a grand entrance at their reception? I actually plan on getting to our reception venue about 30 minutes before our guests so we can:
a) go over everything with our banquet captain
b) get Todd to get pics of the room set up and details without any guests
c) take photos with our Elvis & Showgirls before the guests arrive
d) go over any last minute things with coordinator
Our guests will be on the DDB so they will mostly be arriving together. Would it be weird turning up to a wedding reception where the bride and groom are already there? Every wedding I have been to has had a grand entrance, but I just plainly flat out refuse to partake in that level of attention grabbing (I mean no offence or disrespect to anyone who is doing this - its just not my or FI's style).
